Albert A."Goose" Urda, 74, of Gibson, PA, died Friday evening, November 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. His wife is the former Kathleen Andrascik. They were married April 28, 2001.

Born November 15, 1950 in Montdale, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Doris Brown Urda.

Albert was raised in Montdale and after graduating high school served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for over 50 years and enjoyed numerous trips traveling the entire country with his wife.

He was the past commander and president of the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488 and former president of the Sons of Nam Motorcycle Club in Harford. He enjoyed cooking, baking and camping.

He is also survived by nine children: Joshua Urda and wife, Danielle, Mark Urda and wife, Melissa, Megan Yannotta and husband, Robert and Jacqueline Urda and partner, Daniel Cooper, Tara Riley and husband, Joseph, Brian Simko and wife, Maria, Leah Simko and wife, Michele Broskey and Stephen Simko and wife, Sierra and Jason Davis; 21 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 4 siblings: Carolyn Barucky, George Urda and wife, Gloria, Richard Urda and wife, Linda and Rose Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Michael Urda.

A memorial service with military honors was held Friday, November 22, 2024 starting at 5:00 p.m. from the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488, Lenox, PA. The Sons of Nam gave the 21 gun salute.

Arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations were sent in Albert's name to the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488.
