Albert T. Turano, 86, of Carbondale, PA, died August 3, 2026 in Daytona Beach, FL, where he had been residing the past two years with his son.

Born July 8, 1940 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Albert M. and Henrietta Tolerico Turano.

Al was a 1958 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and earned an associate’s degree from Penn State University. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as an engineer with Yale Forklifts in North Carolina for 40 years. Al was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many years of hunting.

He is survived by two sons: Albert Turano and Eddie Turano both of Daytona Beach, FL; a granddaughter: Brielle Turano of West Chester, PA; one brother: Thomas Turano of Blakely, PA; two sisters: Mary Ann Sterling of Mountain Top, PA, and Judy Burke of Walnutport, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Carol Moffitt.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale. A prayer service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. by Rev. August Ricciardi.
