Obituary

Albert M. Hajos, 71, of Benton Township, died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Gracious Living Estates, Montrose, PA, after an illness. Born February 11, 1950 in Benton Township, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Esther Brelish Hajos. Albert was born, raised and lived his whole life on the family farm in Benton Township where he gained a love of the outdoors and learned the value of hard work. He was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School and served in the Army having been stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He is survived by two sisters: MaryAnn Hopfer of Kingsley, PA and Catherine Stone of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Joseph Hajos; and a sister: Theresa Duda. As per Albert's request no services were held and interment of ashes will be held at a future date. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA. The family would like to extend a thank you to Allied Services Hospice and the staff at Gracious Living Estates for your patience and compassion during his illness. Thank you to the B&B Restaurant, where he visited daily as well as, friends and neighbors who took the time to help him in any way they could, your efforts did not go unnoticed.
