Alan W. Crown, 62, of Carbondale, PA, died Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at home after an illness.
Born March 20, 1962 in Carbondale, PA, he is the son of Janice Pettinato of Carbondale, and the late Alvia Crown.
Alan had previously worked for JC Penney at the Viewmont Mall and was currently employed in the maintenance department at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Scranton. He was an avid Mets and Redskins fan and enjoyed fishing and watching movies, but the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandkids and children.
He is survived by two daughters: Alexis Miller of Crescent City, FL and Nicole Crown of Gouldsboro, PA; two sons: Matthew and wife, Trisha of Gouldsboro, PA and John of Crescent City, FL; three brothers: Gary Crown of Carbondale, PA, Kenneth Crown and wife, Lynn of Carbondale, PA and Michael Crown and wife, Candie of Jeffersonville, PA; five grandchildren: Jayce, Elena, Summer, Sierra and Shelby; a niece: Taylor Paul and husband, Jim of Phoenixville, PA; a nephew: Gary Crown, Jr. of Scranton, PA; an aunt: Diane Zelno of Archbald, PA; and his beloved German Shepard: Nala.
The funeral was held Friday, December 6, 2024 with a blessing service conducted at 12:00 p.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with Rev. Joseph Mosley, senior priest from Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale, PA, officiating. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Viewing hours were held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
