Adeline F. Marasco, age 96, of Carbondale, PA., died early Tuesday morning, April 7, 2009, at the Asera Care Hospice at Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville, PA. She was the wife of the late Bernard Marasco, who died in 2006. Born February 19, 1913 in Catanzaro, Italy, she was the last of seven daughters to the late Anthony and Rose (Cutaro) Badolato.She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale and involved in its many prayer groups. She worked as a seamstress for 50 years at Weisburg Dress Factory in Carbondale. She was an avid sewer and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her humbleness, patience and kindness will be dearly missed by her family.She is survived by one daughter: Bernadette Shayka and husband Robert of Carbondale, PA.; four grandchildren: Bobby Shayka and Ryan Shayka, both of Philadelphia, PA. and Jeffrey Shayka and Nina Shayka both of Carbondale, PA.; one great grandson: Santino Shayka of Carbondale, PA.She was preceded in death by six sisters: Loretta Cortese, Sarah Ciambrone, Mary Donato, Celestine Morgantini, Catherine Ranieri and Felicia Badolato.The funeral was held Friday, April 10, 2009, at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA, with a Funeral Rite at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA., celebrated by Rev. Phillip Altavilla, Episcopal Vicar, Northern Pastoral Region, Diocese of Scranton. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 5-8 pm. Pallbearers: Grandsons: Robert Shayka, Jr., Ryan Shayka Jeffrey Shayka and nephew: Alan Morgantini.
